Qirela respects your privacy and values your trust. This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal and explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.
This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) and Privacy Regulation, 2077 of Nepal. By using Qirela, you provide your explicit consent to the collection and processing of your data as described herein.
We collect information you provide directly: full name, mobile number, email (optional), and address. This data is required to provide consumer and merchant services. We use Supabase for secure data storage.
Your data is collected solely for: (a) Facilitating local trade and shop discovery; (b) Enabling real-time chat between users; (c) Providing AI-driven market insights; (d) Improving app security and user experience.
With your permission, we use GPS data for localized market updates and service discovery. We also collect device notification tokens (FCM) to deliver important alerts. You may revoke these permissions at any time via device settings.
Qirela is free to use and is partly supported by advertising. We display ads through Google AdMob, including: (a) rewarded video ads that you may choose to watch to earn Qirela Coins; and (b) app-open ads shown to customers when the app is opened. We do not show ads to business (shopkeeper) accounts.
To serve and measure these ads, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process certain device and usage data, including your device's Advertising ID, IP address, approximate (non-precise) location, device information, and ad-interaction data. This is used to deliver ads, limit how often an ad is shown, measure performance, and detect invalid or fraudulent activity. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and you can learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time from your device settings (on Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads).
We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data. We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with essential service providers (Supabase and Firebase for storage and messaging, and Google AdMob for advertising) or when legally required by Nepal authorities.
You can delete your account permanently via Settings > Account in the app. Upon deletion, your personal identity data is removed from our active systems in compliance with the Right to be Forgotten.
